help with graphics cards

hi could someone tell me if i would be better buying a fx5200 pci card or to put a 8x agp card into a 4x slot.dont know much about this stuff so your help would be appreciated.thanks

8x in a 4x slot will be faster, more bandwidth on the AGP slot than the PCI.

You should avoid a PCI based video card alltogether. I rather you get an AGP 8x video card. They're pretty much standardized to the point where it will be compatible with your 4x AGP port on your motherboard.
