XP Pro....upgrade or full version?

I just bought a sweet new laptop (E1505). The only catch is it has XP Media Edition. I NEED XP Pro in order to be networked at the office. Should I buy the upgrade version or go with the full version and try formatting the computer and installing XP Pro? Thanks for any suggestions!

Really? I was under the impression that you could only network and get certain functionality with XP Pro, that's why Dell charges an upgrade fee for it...

Wow, thanks for the heads up! Now, hopefully the tech guys at my office are smart enough to know that and won't demand I have to get XP Pro just because that is a pre-req to get your computer on the network.

Well they just want you to have the join domain option, which is what ya need.

nevermind, it doesnt have the feature "joining a domain".

edit:If you enter a Windows XP Pro OEM CD-key during setup of MCE 2005, you'll get Windows XP instead of MCE.
