I leave mine on 24/7, however I do set it to low power when it's idle. The biggest juice sucker is usually big CRT monitors.. which is why I always turn mine off when I leave my desk.
Lets see.. my specs.. all that crap.. hmm.. I imagine when the PC is idle, with the hard drives shut off, memory not fully loaded, and cpu just kinda sitting there, with low temps.. heh, this thing doesn't use much power at all when you think about it.
Besides, the power we use here comes from a dam, so other than the power bill, I could care less how much power gets used. Now if it was a nuclear power plant or something, that would be different.
