Well it's out finally, complete with the new, much touted, Control Panel. it has some interesting new features, some mean presets (AA & AF)
CoD2 runs fine on it, I'll stick my neck out and say on face value that the IQ has improved.

For the red side I have seen comment regarding a Catalyst 6.5 release so it may pay to check the ATi site.

No problem mate, as with all beta drivers it's a use at your own risk type scenario, not that much can go wrong or if it does it's not hard to fix. Interesting SLi options for those who run it (I have seen reports that the second gpu temp logging isn't working but not having SLi I can't comment), also temp logging is now available, a nice improvement.
I'm going back to play with the driver settings some more.

I currently have the 82.xx beta ATM, but I will upgrade.

Sounds interesting. I think I'll wait for the final release instead. I've got tons of Beta software (Office 2007, Windows Media Player 11 etc), but drivers are crucial and I don't want unstable drivers in my system. I'll just stick with the Forceware 82.41 drivers.
