what's with batteries???

why are batteries so expensive? particularly laptop batteries- the cheapest battery for my laptop that i could find is just inder 200 dollars, and there is no way im paying that much. so what makes them so expensive??

Everything in the world is expensive these days, especially electronics... it all depends on the amount of time it runs and whatnot.

One of the reasons for them being expensive is because people buy them rarely. And if they are going to buy one then they really need it, so they are going to pay to get one.

they are pretty powerful batteries so god knows what they do to them to make them that powerful

They are made of special chemicals and cells, and they have mercury in them which is hard enough to get.
