hey,
ive been trying to figure out how to record video from a video camera onto my computer.
i know how to do just audio devices but i dont have a video plug in on my computer
the camera has one of those 3.5mm audio/video output
i was wondering if there is any way i can make a connection to transfer audio and video at the same time without buying a video input card thing.
are there cables that are 3.5mm converted to USB or is there something else i can do?
thanks

so you say, you have a video camera.
what is the model and make?
and so you have a 3.5mm auido/video out, do you have an adapter that goes to RCA jacks?

if so, you may need a video capture card to capture the video. or wait, maybe, idk much bout video cameras, do they have SD cards or something to that manner? Microdrive? Compact Flash? if so, just get a card reader. shouldnt there be a usb cable to sync the video from the camera to the comp?

Its a Sharp Viewcam
not sue of exact model but it looks jsut like this one
click
i have a cable that connects the 3.5mm to a yellow video and white mono audio RCA
however, i dont have RCA inputs on my computer
thats why i was wondering if there was some sort of converter to get to make the cable go to the USB import (if thats even possible)
if not ill buy a video port card, ive seen some for like $20
