Hey, just got a quick flash memory question for my digital camera. I need to buy faster memory so the pictures will be written to the card faster. I'm kind of new to this whole flash memory thing, so any suggestions will be appreciated.

(Oh yeah, I just realized this should probably go in a different section, but no one really checks the general electronics thing.)

I'm looking for a card like about 20-30 bucks, has to be 256mb compactflash. Here are some cards I found... lemme kno if they're actually worth buying.

Well, it's obvious that a 12x can push data bits much faster than 4x with a reference point of 1X equaling 150 KB per second. The higher the speed rating, the faster your camera will be able to write images to the memory card. If you use digital camera's as long as I have, I hate the slow processing time after you take one picture and the time it takes to review it. Altering the image size and quality in the camera's menu can also speed this up.

That's ok. I like to get everything fast even if it's almost double the cost. But you're getting double or triple the speed too which is good.
