stereo ohms / coils?

Wow.. Any pics? Id like to see that! :D

And my friend has dual 14'' Visionk's. 1200watt amp, and hes putting in 800 continious. Insane.

But, you think that those tubes will give me performance like subs in a box?

Honestly, I haven't heard a tubed system come close to an enclosed box, BUT, I'm also ignorant when it comes to bass tubes, Never dealt with them. I'm a firm believer tubes belong in trucks, because trying to fit those things, (out of sight, and out of the way) in a car is impossible. Will you have decent sound, of course. Do you also really want 2 tubes in plain view? People steal candy bars these days ArrizX, but I'm sure you knew that.=P

Yeah, but they will be bolted down. Lol, and as for trucks, I thought they got those flat ones that fit under the seat.

And then what would you reccomend for a little car. Check this thread out..

But, I mean I could get a box in the back, and then insulate it, with that foam stuff, and tar the cracks and finally carpet it. And then get the sheets of foam so I dont vibrate the trunk, and make it sound like crap.

But what do you think of that approach?

EDIT>
Even though its old, feel free to reply in it if you have anything you wanna add to it.

Your trunk is pitted? That could pose for a couple of unwanted rattles. I'll be honest with you ArrixZ, If I take out my Sub, and just power up my 6x9, the amount of bass, and sound quality I have is crystal clear, with a fair amount of bass to occupy a small size parking lot, The Sub is the extra mile I went.

Well the thing is that I want to drive down the road and people to stare at my car. You know? I mean roll down the main street off this small tourist town, and have people just stare at me. Windows rolled down, sun roof open. Oh yeah!!

You know what I mean?

Lol, when you say it like that it sounds bad.

I mean with my friends 4runner and the dual 14'' visionk's. I mean, its just awesome when people are kinda like whats that, and then they see you rollin.

Anyways, think the tubes will give me that kind of effect? Or should I get a box and stick it in the trunk. What do you think overall?

EIDT>
But its not only for that. I mean ill be taking road trips with this car. And when Im on a straight highway for hours on end, I want some good and lound music.

All I can do is give you my opinion, and what I would do. I would go for the box in the trunk. If you feel more comfortable with the 2 tubes in the back seat, go for it. I like projects, so I would go all out with the trunk, Paint it, carpet it, situate the box, mount the Amp, etc etc....

And why would you do that? And peticular reason?

I mean anything you have agasint the tubes? Or you just think that a nice big box would sound better. And I was looking at boxs too. And you think I get a premade one, or makeone myself?

If I had to get premade, id get one of these..

Or one other kind.

What do you think of that.

And I just noticed when looking, that thats a bandpass. I know what the passive are.. Kinda. But there are also hatchback kind.

Im looking at these

Do you have any idea about the difference under the desciption?

See.. im lookin at this..
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-DKYTSaJszGc/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=510&id=detailed_info&i=028V123BP#Tab

Because its like 2ohms

Impedance: This system includes two 4-ohm woofers. Since there is a separate terminal cup for each woofer, this system may be wired to present a 4-ohm stereo load, a 2-ohm mono load or an 8-ohm mono load.

So with that, because it can handle up to 600. And 1200 max.

I was lookin at this amp.

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-DKYTSaJszGc/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&I=028V318XT

Because its cheap and..
400 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (800 watts x 1 at 2 ohms)

It does up to 800 at 2ohms. So I think I could make this system really bump.

What do you think?
