When i put my computer together, i bought some necessary parts just to get her going. My mobo is a 58 dollar gigabyte K8 triton. What would be some "pluses" if i upgraded to a better mobo?

if you spent about 100 dollars on a mobo you could 'future proof' yourself for a while with a socket 939 or intel equivalent with SLi or crossfire.

I know that, but what would specs/parts of a mobo would be better if i got a more expensive/complicated i guess i could so, one? How would a better mobo improve my computer specs?

With overclocking, some motherboards hate high HTT, others their BIOS features are less than par. But for a regular computer, a cheap motherboard is fine. Also, the use of higher end components, like japanese caps will help in the long run.
