My dad decided he needed a new PC so i'm building this. Parts already ordered so if you see an issue i'd need to know by morning... He was light gaming as in tiger woods golf and maden 2005 stuf along those lines nothing intese. He wants to DL files, and surf the net, So I figure for 840 bucks after Labor (yes I even charged him for this) and 100 for acse and PSU (he already has OS)

A nice 300 GIG HD

Frankly i'd love this machine for myself just toos in a geforce 7800 and i'll be shining fro ear to ear.

Yeah yeah its nice - that'll do!

Why not do a sneaky swap of the processors when its arrived?

I decided aganist a SATA drive mainly because I heard their connectors are delicate and can easly break. My next harddrive in my mind for my computer will be a SATA, I just don't want to try somthing new with this build and screw up. Its kinda a test for me, so I took the safe route, I don't think my dad would notice the diff if his life depended on it anyways.

SATA drives are as "breakable" as IDE drives. Just be careful when putting it together and you'l be fine.

SATA is also slightly faster than IDE, so browsing the OS will speed up with a SATA drive.

The actual drives are what slows down your transfer speeds and not the interface (On your standard 7200RPM 8mb drives)

SATA is not faster really, however theroretically it would have a slightly lower latency due to sending a single bit at a time instead of waiting for the other 7 bits to come along ;)

Nice computer, I am jelous too.

Yea personally i was advised aganist it, it was my computer i'd of said screw it and got it anyways. Example today if a custome rwould ask for a water cooled PC i'd say no... I'm not going build a water cooled PC without me first haveing been done it on my PC.
