Winfixer.com advert

David, can you get rid of that fullscreen Winfixer.com advert please? It's a full screen popup with two boxes asking for OK/Cancel, and is a complete pain.

I know you need the money but are there not more discreet ways of doing it?

+1 for the annoyance factor. I get hit once sometimes twice per visit, the fact that it steals the whole window is the most annoying, cancel > favourites > rejoin the forum.
What did the ad stream providers have to say?

Sometimes with some advertisement companies, they don't give you choice over the ads you see. Others do.

Hmm never seen it do you use firefox? if so get hte extension call "AdBlcok" when you see that pop up right click on it and hit adblock image or frame and it should go away I hope this helps

I use Firefox and I've never gotten it, and no I don't have adblock installed, then again I do have Spysweeper with all sheilds on.

It does come up when I use IE at work though... little annoying.

i blocked most of the ads after getting spyware from some of them... and for the fact that the full screen ads are really annoying, also porn, i block that... which, with the ads at the moment doesnt leave alot... ive got adblock installed, just so everything loads that lil bit faster..

i still get alot of popups when im at college though.. nearly got in trouble cause of a porn popup on there before too.. so now i just block them.
