floppy is far from pointless my friend...

anywhoo, i like the first one you built, but instead of a 7600gt, get a 6800gs. its like teh same price, but its much better.

Funny how the 7600GT beats the 6800GS in all benchmarks (with the exception of overclocking)

I have a eVGA 7600GT on the way, hope it turns out good.

yeh i think 7600gt's are much better...wish they were 256 bit though...but oh well

Well, the ram is pretty good but I found some Patriot RAM for about the same price. That company seems to have a better reputation for making ram so I'd go for that.

You can save some money by cutting out the floppy drive out. You can always create bootable cds using Nero or some program, and if you think about what can you really store on a 2mb floppy. Stick with with some jump drives if you want portable data. They're cheap and you can get a 512 drive for about 20-30. Next, I'd cut back on the video card. You don't absolutely need a 7900gtx, unless your an extreme gaming enthusaist. I'd stick with the 7600gt because its a decent card for about 200 bucks less.

Your processor is looking good. Go FX, if your building a gaming rig. The X2 processors are more for multimedia. Stick with the NEC dvd-burner cuz its like dirt cheap and it performs really good from what I hear. Anyways good luck with your build, and hope I helped.

I personally like OCZ better. But PDP is also good. Very stable memory. But im not sure on their ICs.

Yeah they have low latency timings, and the prices are pretty good too. I was just saying though, you might want to go Patriot just cause they cost pretty much the same.

i have a eVGA 6800 GS works great. so whatever you choose. it should turn out fine. dont worry about it. 6800 GS used to be a really cost efficient card during the christmas time. not so much anymore i guess. i don't see many for sale. newegg doesn't even sell them anymore. zipzoomfly does though.. i think.

Sounds great man. I wish you luck. I found some greats sites on the internet that will help you with your computer after it is built. You need Antivirus Software these days. There is also a Registry Site too. Every once in a while your computer will run slow due to invalid registry entries. You need Registry Cleaning Software to keep your PC running in top performance.

Good Luck
