Yes, you will see tons of noobish questions for Linux gurus, but here I go:

When I open Konsole, I type su and type my password. Nothing wrong there, but when I type:

linux:/home/lhuser # /home/lhuser/Desktop/jre-1_5_0_06-linux-i586-rpm.bin

I get this error:
bash: /home/lhuser/Desktop/jre-1_5_0_06-linux-i586-rpm.bin: Permission denied

Why is this bloody thing denied?

Is the account set to administrator?

Which distro is it, and is it live or a full time OS?

I own the OS, therefore I am the admin in there.

Second, this is Suse running standalone. Hope this help :p

Uumm..wierd..

Are you 100% you are typing the command line correctly? Double and triple check it.

Can you post a screenshot of the error message maybe?

Well, I can't actually post a screenshot, but I know the directory is there and is true.
