AMD 64 X2 4400 vs 4200

Hey guys i got a quick opinion.

im building my computer here slowly, i ordered my case and motherboard yesterday and i was wondering if i should save the 200 + dollars and get the 4200 or go out and spend the extra. someone told me that i would regret it if i dont get the 4400.

I don't think there is any difference...other than the increase in cache, which isn't worth $200 if you ask me.

Same here, not worth the extra bit for the 4400. Stick with the 4200.

if you want more cache go with the 4400+ if not, dont even go with the 4200+ get the 3800+ instead.

i've been having second thoughts about going with the 4200. I've read reviews of gaming not being all that great due to having to tweak with the processor to make it run only one of them.

no, i would highly recommend a dual core. You need to install the dual core fix and that should do the fix. Really simple actually. To make one processor run the process, just go to task manager and processes and click on affinity. But i say again, i highly recommend a dual core.
