im tryin to get my friends ipadress how can this be achieved ? perhaps a website i can link him to which would record his ip adress and report to me ? ANY HELP GUYS ??

This will only work if you have access to the website logs.

what difference does it make having an IP address or not. it's not hard to get one. you can make a 1x1 pixel image host it on a site, write an email w/ html <img src="http://site.com/picture.jpg"> check logs for that image being downloaded. Check email headers, there's tons of ways. I don't see any harm in giving ways to obtain an IP address.

if you can't get an ipaddress you're probably not skillful enough to make use of the knowledge even after you have one.

if your not behind a NAT router.

go to the console and run a "netstat"
of course its a good idea to run "netstat" before you connect so you know which one is new.

you'll probably get a mixed IP host name so just "ping" it and it will resolve back and you'll get the IP.
