Hey.
Well, i'm having problems booting up my system after i deleted two partitions off my hard drive. In it's original state, the hard drive had:

  • Windows Partition (NTFS)
  • Partition With My PersonalFfiles (NTFS)
  • Linux Kubuntu Partition (EXT3)
  • Swap Space Partition For Kubuntu (Forgot :))

Now, after i deleted my Linux Kubuntu partition and the swap space partition to clear up some space on my hard drive, i had problems booting into my Windows. My computer simply won't boot up, i know that it's something to do with the boot loader but i don't know how to fix it.
Any ideas anyone ? :)

You changed the hard drive, but not the MBR(Master boot record) You will need to reformat.

Is there any way to change the master boot record ? I hope that formatting is only the last resort. :(

no, there isnt, at least not that im aware of. it is located in C:\System Volume Information\ however windows will deny you access to it.

Follow what Deathstar posted.

All you need to do is insert a Windows CD, enter the recovery console (by pressing "R"), and do FIXBOOT, and FIXMBR.
