I am planning to build a barebone system this summer, and I have two questions, first is my dillemma between amd and intel setups, which one is better i want one thats going to be very fast and good for gaming cuz I play cs. Also the other question I have is what else is needed to set up a barebone kit besides the os. Are there internal pieces that I need to buy, if so what.

AMD def is the best for gaming im sure everyone here at CF will say the same. Each barebone is different, so if you could post a link of which one you're getting I will let you know if you need to buy anything else, or if it's good too go.

Usually you can add pieces to a barebone system from the company that you are buying it from, so in reality you could buy one that all you would need to do is format the hd and install an OS. Give us an idea of what you are looking at.

Youll need a hard drive and a pci-e card if you buy that barebone kit.

Optical Drives (cd-rom, floppy, ect)
hard drive
dedicated vid card
os
speakers
sound card

You can skip the speakers and sound card if you want, but you need the rest.
