i dont have to re-install it do i? would i have to wipe my hard drive?

make sure that the BIOS is set to boot from CD first, once it is if not already, insert cd and reboot. when you see it say "press any key to boot from cd..." press a key for it to boot from cd.. format the drive using NTFS and then do a clean install

yes you would have to whipe the drive. it will when you format the drive

You tried using Microsfot Anti-Spyware yet? I find that it works better than other solutions.

can u even still get that? when i checked theres some other thing called windows defender, is that some new version of it?
