I've applied every step to my computer from each and every one of those links and it still doesn't work.

I've been told to wait because Microsoft think it's the .NET Messenger Service. I'd also like to note that I can sign in Windows Messenger.

I love skype! I have just called Microsoft for free on skype to check the status of the server and they said they are experienceing no techincal problems. I suggust you send them an E-mail at support.msn.com

8.0? Is that Windows Live 8.0? If so, I've already tried that and experienced the same thing as my MSN Messenger 7.5.

Anyway, I e-mailed Microsoft and they repeated the steps like in the useful links above. As much as I don't want to, maybe I should just reformat my computer?
