Ok guys now i know ive made a lot of threads but i need a lot of help....im looking for a micro atx motherboard with 478 socket and a new video card and ram....now i play bf2 and bf2 special forces and im thinking of keeping my 1.8ghz pentium 4 for a while...even with the best stuff with those specifications will i not see improvement because right now i can only barely play low graphics....plz help me find some stuff....also instead should i try to get a barebone system and build off of that?...if so ne ideas on those...thx:)...and not too big of a budget:)...thx

edit:
ok guys i have 2 different things im thinking of doing....and now im also thinking of getting a new cpu....k here they are......

1.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16813186066
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16819103537
now i would most likely get a gig of ram and maybe more later...now it has 2 slots and supports dual channel ddr...so could i get 2x1gb cards of dual channel ddr ram?.....also i would have the ability to get a pcix16 video card which i would probably get a geforce 6800 or newer......now also the mobo has a 939 socket so i could futurely upgrade....also the frontside bus speed is 1000MHz Hyper Transport (2000 MT/s)...also the cpu supports hyper transport...

Price for Mobo/Cpu Combo: $193

2. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicat...BM-K8VM800-3000
now that has an avg motherboard which has some downsides such as an agp8x slot....just two slots of normal ddr400 (no dual channel)....and it has a 1600mhz front side bus...

Price for Mobo/Cpu Combo: $185-30=$155 after rebate

now i need to know which one is better....also im more leaning towards the first one and i might even buy a 3200+ instead of a 3000+ to get more of a bang for my buck....plz leave your comments...thx

video cards: now video card wise i would either get this for the agp board
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16814121216
or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16814130274
or this for the PCIExpress board

now one problem for me is finding a card with a normal plugin for a normal monitor...all the rest have weird types of plugs...what are those used for???

a new barebone would be better. a amd barebone would be ur best bet if u already have a montior keyboard etc. Tigerdirect has some nice barebones ur best bet would be to get one without a graphics card and get a cheap one for now.

thats a very nice one you could probaly just but a PCI-E 6200 for now and just add another 512 stick of ram. then thats about 500 bucks and youll be set. later on you can spend some money on sli and just beef up the system some more.

Thank you very very much man.....thats pretty much what i was looking for...or something around that....now if i got it i would buy another 512mb stick and maybe later 2 more 1gb sticks to max out at 3gb...if not i would just end up with 4 512mb sticks and 2gb's...but that will help a lot with bf2...also i may try to go better then a 6200 card but i might have to settle for that....thank you very much Feirce Pc....thx....ne other suggestions will be taken

Cooling on a mini system is hypercritical. Make sure your baby has exceptionally good airflow. Look out for cases that park the psu over the cpu and block the airflow. Those are poorly designed and will cause you mucho grief later on.
