This error message keeps poping up everytime I logon.

Can't attatch a screen dump so here it is:

"Windows cannot find 'C:\PROGRA~1\SOFTWA~1\soproc.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for the file, click the Start button, and the Search".

Searched but unable to locate the file.

Any help would be appreciated.

I run Windows XP.

Cheers.

try emptying out your c:\windows\prefetch folder and see if it goes away.

edit: after a google search I found that it is spyware, you need to make sure that process is not running when you start windows, if it is, disable it, and you also need to run spyware removal programs.

Emptied it and restarted but error message still there. Opened the prefetc folder again and 29 items had appears again.

Run Spybot and cleared out all spyware.

Click start, go to Run, and type msconfig, and look under the startup tab.[/url]

That's done it - cheers.

System seems to be running faster also.
