Can't see my file save on a DVD

I made a back up of files on a DVD and now the PC cant even read it.
I have a burner Toshiba CD/DVDW 5372, i probably burn it at max speed could it be the problem, and at what speed my burner should always be 4x, 8x more??

what program u use to burn?......did u finalize your disc?...i use sonic recordnow! and it works excellent and very easy to use

Shawn i used Roxio creator 8 Drag-to-disk and as for finishing it i have no idea, i know that before it finish it ask "save in writing" and i said no then it burned the disk

This may be a silly question Bert, but why did you back everything up?? and after you did do you still have the same programs on your computer.

Cause maybe if you removed a program that those files were using you wouldn't be able to read them.

If it's just the CD i recommend trying it in another computer and if it works burn it again and try it in yours.

K-POW i juste save personal files not programs lollll and yes i will try them on a other computer.
