Hey guys I recently found a unused ASUS A7S333 with 754 chipset DDR33

Socket:462 cpu

Supports: AMD Athlon, duron socket A, (462) processor.

Included SIS 754 chipsets

PCI: 1/2/3/4/5

AGP:4x This is the only downfull I think my main motherboard has a 6x.

ASUS C.O.P Cpu overheating protection

up to 3gb

Ulta DMA

I just want to know if this will be better then my celeron motherboard I have now, because I want to upgrade to a motherboard that supports Athlon. also my board is a foxcon board.

My motherboard is a newer model then the ASUS but I still think the ASUS is better apart from the 4x AGP slot.

Would this be a good motherboard to use.

Thanks for listning

Well AGP only comes in 4x and 8x, to check what your mobo has right now, just go to run/ type in dxdiag, and it should tell you.

Yeah it comes with 8x is it worth changing for the ASUS it's only a bit of difference but I think the rest is better then my motherboard I have now.

Yours will take DDR400 and AGP 8X. See, this motherboard takes a FSB of 333MHZ

And yes, it will do better than a celeron.

So the ASUS would be better than my Foxcon mother that only supports celeron I forgot what socket it is now. but the other one does seem better though it is more dated.
