IE Works but Firefox doesnt...?

I just restarted my PC and now for some reason IE loads fine but firefox gives me the

"Unable to connect













Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.google.com.








* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."




Error


I use an MA111 wireless USB connector and it's been working with firefox fine before this.... Any ideas? Thanks

Are you allowing Firefox access to the internet? You may have blocked it when your firewall program asked for permission.

You havent changed any setting in mozilla have you?

Nope, I havent. AIM and outlook work fine too; I just reinstalled firefox and still getting the same problem

hmm...when you unintalled firefox, did you delete the core files as well?

Yes... I've had this problem before but I just can't remember how I fixed it!

Do you need a proxy to connect? If so, Firefox will need the settings reapplied if lost.

ugh it was zonealarm... I exited when the PC started up but apparently it still blocked firefox

Yeah, you need to configure programs like Zonealarm to allow them access to connect to the internet.

Lol, didnt I say it was probably your firewall at the beginning of this thread? You really should read what everyone writes, man. It would save you and the people who post helpful advice a lot of time.
