I built a computer last winter in my sig, and it's been using this CD Drive that I stole from my old Dell Dimension up to now. It's starting to give me some problems like freezing my computer on occasion when I put CDs in. Does anyone know how to fix this? I really feel like buying an entirely new CD Drive though, so does anyone know of any reliable companies, and what a good quality CD Drive is? I don't really need a DVD Drive just a CD RW would be enough.

Well to try to fix the old one, go to my computer, device manager, and uninstall the optical drives then restart. For a cd burner I dont think you really need to get a "good" company, they all work fine. Well, some dvd burners are so cheap might as well get one that burns dvds also. This one is 35, even though its not the BEST on the market for dvds it will burn cds just fine. This way if you ever need to burn/want to burn a dvd you can.

Nah, this one is much better and probably the best bang for the buck.

Yeah, I dont know I just got the cheapest dvd burner since he said he only wants a cd burner and those run for around 20-25 so I though he wouldnt mind putting in 15 more and just get one that burns dvds also.
