I owned my computer earlier, Ok When I restarted it after I hit Windows XP I got an error message saying that windows cannot start because it cant find some file in c:/Windows/System32/config.... then it says hit r to repair but when i hit "R" it just kept restarting my computer... I tried safe mode but that didnt work so when my comp restarted again i hit like idk either f4 or f8 then i selected the option that say "Use last know good configuration" And BAM MY COMPUTER STARTED UP FINE

Sounds like that file may be corrupt or something, It'll show up again.

Yeah....that option is handy. Once I got something where everytime my Old PC went to the login screen the mouse and PC would freeze...EVERY TIME! That option saved me
