Hello i need help,my parents computer has Mcafee virus protection with firewall abnd all the features,but,The computer loads winxp fine but when it has loaded you cant touch the computer for about 2 minutes,otherwise ittl crash or nothing will run here are the specs


2.6 Ghz
512 MB Ram
80 Gb hdd


How do i fix this?????

That's Mcaffe for you...

Seriously though, try a fresh reinstall of Mcafee and see how it goes. Even before reinstalling it, do a scan for Spyware/Malware/Viruses.

You can try disabling everything from your start up...

Go into Start>Run>Msconfig...
Click the Startup tab, and select Disable All.

I had a problem like that on my laptop. It would download everything and run fine until I went to restart the computer. I would try starting it back up, and bang, dead. I reinstalled it and then it worked fine. I also had to disable the virus scan to get it to work before I realized. Hope that helps.
