Wow they seem really economic are they an estimate or those are gonna be the real ones, cause it seems to cheap for a new processor launch

It honestly seems to be there will never be any set better CPU manufacturer. Not to be biast but AMD has been the better one of the last maybe half year or so. When Intel comes out with Conroe, it could very well completely blow AMD out of the water...And then 3 months later AMD could come back with something that completely kills Intel temporarily until they continue....and so on and so forth.

Well, the thing with most people is that their focussing all of AMD's efforts on the Socket AM2, which in reality is nothing. It's simply that, a new socket. It's just a different way to mount a CPU, and the motherboard is just using different RAM, in our case, DDR2. It's just a new Socket with a layout of 940 pins and nothing more. A Socket doesn't really bring anything new to the table other then new graphics chipsets and RAM. I honestly don't see all the hoo-haa about Socket AM2.

Its just a way of AMD getting what Intel has been using for ages in a way that could make it look like they're doing other things as well. DDR2.

Hey the new socket could be the next step to AMD next gen processor dont forget that

it could be, but it doesnt look like it with the current AM2 processors. It might just be like S754.

It will be just that we dont know any news of it maybe its on the first stages of development to use with the AM2 socket. But no doubt that conroe will most likely beat AMD's current solutions
