have you ever noticed how little the other forums are used other than general computer etc.., social lounge, and for sale?
i think we shud just merge evrything into those 3 categories... only nubes use them...
if this is the wrong place, please move

This should be in suggestions..

Anyways.. Its proper forum edicute (sp) to have a section for everything.

Well, even putting it in the Social Lounge is a better idea, and proves his point. It will get more views, simply because more people view the General and Social Lounge then anythign else. Merging them isn't that good of an idea in my opinion, but he does have a point.

you're right, the other sections do hardly get posted in. Still though I dont think we should get rid of them at least for the people that aren't noobs and post in the appropriate section. Let's not accomodate to the noobs.

Hey hey, that's not so true. I post sometimes in other forums...just not the hosting stuff.

Oddly enough...

the hosting section is only used by people either buying or selling hosting.

actually...
I'm not going to give some kind of detailed analysis who who and what uses each forum section and when, I'm just going to say, go to the main page, and look at the last post,

there are posts in every forum, either today or yesterday, so clearly people do use these (more specialist) forums, even if those people are not people who spend all their time in the social lounge.

Sk8ngame do I assume from your lack of posts in the web programming / computer programming / hacking / networking / OS sections that the questions asked in there are just far too nube for you?
or are they just to difficult for you to answer?

the reason there are different sections is so that people with more specific knowledge can help out with more specific problems.
as an example, how long to you think a thread abut how to do some programming would last amongst the sea of what video card should I buy threads?

and...
yes.

this was in the wrong section (social lounge, now moved to suggestions).
perhaps you should be venturing further than the social lounge, if only to start posting threads in the right place? :)

no, you don't have to...

that's not the point.

the point is that just because some poeple may not use certain parts of the forum it doesn't mean that others don't.

fair enough if the last post was in 2004 or something then thet'd be a fair point!!! but all the forums were used within the past 2 days! so they clearly do recieve regular use. so why get rid of them?
