Why not SuSE 10.0 ? Not too mention most all Linux distros would fly on a system like that....especially Ubuntu and Damn Small Linux.

2000 yes, but installing ME on a clean partition is practically the same as injecting a new born baby with aids. It's just plain wrong.

I used to have a PC with ME and it was the WORST OS i've ever used in my life. Barely anything was compatable with it (everything became a strand of error messages) and it was slow as hell. I installed XP Professional on the old system (12GB hard drive, 64MB RAM, 800Mhz AMD Duron) and XP was TONS faster than crappy ME.

DON'T GET Millenium Edition!!!
