will it play battlefield?

i was wondering if a 5900 can play battlefield at at least low to medium settings. if not, then can a 6600 gt play battle field at least at medium settings. we are talking about battlefield 2 here

sure, the 6600 can handle it decently. you won't get the best experience out of it, but it should be decent. i dont know about the 5900 thought, looking at the rest of your specs i think you should be ok with the 6600

i would put the 6600 on medium 4 bf2 not high, it laggs alot on high

A fx 5900 should play it fine on low settings. I currently have a fx 5700 (256mb version) and I can normally play it without problems with all settings on low and view distance set to 100%.

oh, thats surprising...but i would still go with the 6600, you'll be more happier

You will want to get at least 1gb of memory though. You will be able to play with 512mb but it willl be a lot smother with 1gb.

i think a 6600gt would play it at 1024x768 on medium settings

My 6600GT can almost play it on full settings, I just have to turn down the anti-aliasing a notch as well with the filtering. That still provides fairly impressive graphics.
