Help with Ubuntu Linux

Alright so I've deleted all the partitions, so they all say FREE SPACE now...here's what I see on the screen now:

This is an overview of your currently configured partitions and mount points. Select a partition to modify its settings (file system, mount point, etc.), a free space to create partitions, or a device to initialise its partition table.

I don't know what I should do from here. It looks like the computer is recognising two hard drives or something since the computer has one 12 GB hard drive, and it lists 12 GB twice...is there any way to erase the whole list and just start from scratch? Again, my AIM screen name is thatcoolrushguy and I'd really appreciate any help.
