Nope, dont think soo. I always though IDE and ATA were the same things, my IDE cable for my HD says ATA on it but its IDE, so yeah there prooly the same things no need to worry.
ATA and IDE are one and the same. Make sure you are looking at the right information because there are a number of factors that will cause price differences in these drives such as buffer size, rpm, interface and capacity.
Im not sure, but the advice I can give, is to enter everything you want; price, write speed, read speed, everything. And from the results, reguardless if its IDE or ATA, its got what you want, so just purchase the best one.
