i just deleted a partition with partitionmagic and the c drive is not as big as it used to be. what is wrong?

You probly didnt use the whole drive when you partitioned it.

well obviously, i only partitioned 10 gigs out of 178, now its still at 168 after i deleted the partition

Ok, there is your anwser, you patitioned 10 gigs, so if you did that, it wont show the whole drive as C:\

Ok, i see what you mean now. hmm, thats kinda strange. Do you have windows on the drive? or is this a clean drive?

ok, im not too sure why its doing that. When you go to my computer and right click C:\ does it have an option to format?

might you not actually have 2 partitions. one of 10 GB and 1 of 168GB. i believe than that the 168GB partition with windows on it would still only show itself and not the rest of the drive. if that is the case then you should find out if you can some how expand an existing partition without reformatting(pretty sure you can't)
