9/11 And some interesting facts

it wasnt real easy to clean up was it? and second, if it were for safety we would have lost more lives...

I wasn't talking about 9/11. If you notice normal buildings being demolished, that's what happens. Same thing happened with the rubble of the WTC. Each building litterally had it's own pile of rubble and steel.

That's true to an extent. They did collapse into rough relativly HUGE pile. So that's correct as we all can clearly note. However, did the plane hitting the top portion of the building cause it to collapse like that? In my opinion, yes, the plane took out the building. Liek the video even stated, the steel couldn't melt, however, it would bend. Take a Jinga tower for instance. knock out the top 3 or 4 layers of the building...watch what happen. The entire structure collapses, it doesn't topple over, it collapses onto itself. This is probably the most perfect example of the WTC because jinga towaers, which by the way is a fun little game ;) are basically built the same way. Tall...thin...easy to collapse. Think about it people...

Re: 9/11 And some interseting facts

This isn't about comparing real towers to wooden blocks on unstable ground without the technology the towers had.... Besides, if the metal did bend, the towers wouldn't have falled all the way down, and you really can't scientificly say that "fire" shattered out the windows and shot smoke out into the air in multiple areas on both buildings.....

Re: 9/11 And some interseting facts

Id have to agree. I mean, it gets hot, flexes a little, and another plane his it, and it gives way. Also in the video it shows like.. dust comming out, under the origional explosion.. Thats I think, because of the fireball shooting down the hallways and stairs.

did you see the way they hit? they took out an entire quadrent of the shape fo the thing... it could not withstand that... it is like if you cut off one of a chairs legs, it would probally fall down... you are thinking it may stand up, but think about the posture of the building, it was tall and thin...

im not scared... i flown on many planes (commercial planes to be exact) since this attack and was not scared at all...

how do you know this?

Yea, recon you're the world man, you represent everyone. I never said, "Look how scared recon is". kkthx.

More people are scared of terrorist acts in America now than ever, so Bush can make many changes, saying they're for our "safety"; so therein lies my point.

you obviously know very little about architecture and what exactly is inside of a building. You think a building is hollow? haha! Guess again! Want to know why the windows exploded outwards? It's very very simple. A building of that magnitude has a LOT of things inside it, a LOT of things that are combustible. Ever heard of natural gas? Ever heard of a kitchen? There's pipelines that run all along that building. Not to mention there's a LOT of oxygen inside the building. Let's take a 120 ton aircraft, full of high-explosive jet fuel, slam it into a building that is huge, has lots of space, lots of pipelines carry lots of gases and liquids, most of which are combustible, and let's see what happens.

So, what you're saying is that it's IMPOSSIBLE, to slam an aircraft into a building and not have ONE window explode outworld or fire shoot outside the window?

If that's your claim, you my friend, are an idiot.

Ever heard of shockwaves, or sound vibrations? Ever heard the sound of a Boeing 757 turbine engine? I don't think you have. Because if you had, you would know that if you were under a plane landing, and it flew over you, you'd flew into the air like a little tiny piece of paper! That there will shake the entire building, sending waves all along the windows, shattering them and making them burst. Oh not to mention, the actual explosion of the plane would even further add to the destruction.

Next time Hunter, do a little research before you start running your childish little mouth again. Not everythign you see in a "documentary" is truth.

[EDIT]

And to add to my comment...

Yes, the comparision between a Jenga tower and the WTC is accurate up unto a point. Obviously you missed the point, go figure. But in any case, let me explain...

Build a building, ANY building. Build it very very tall, and very very thin. Take your hand, a wrecking ball, whatever. Smack it into the top portion of the building, all the while, let's throw in some fireworks to give a more accurate representation.

This time with your Jenga tower, put some firecrackers in between the Jenga pieces. Light them...then, hit the tower right as they explode. Watch what happens...

who the hell are you to tell us about WWII??? you guys f***kin killed millions of innocent people, and you want us to believe that one our greatest fu**in presidents let Pearl Harbor happen???? no, no way, get the hell out of here, i agree bush is a screwup, but i mean seriously FDR did so much for this country and to say that is just plain ignorance... and you have no right to say anything about our leaders, because if i recall correctly, your elders let a psycopathic hateful dictator become the leader of your country.

i have nothing against german people, just ignorant people from countrys with that background, that give our country $h!t when there not great themselves.

Not sure about FDR and Pearl Harbor, but what about those Japanese Internment Camps? Yeah, so much for "everyone is equal". Japan attacks Pearl Harbor, and the president gets scared and decides to lock up all the Japanese in America. In other senarios, America hypocritically bitches about their rights when they don't even extend it towards others. Yeah, I'm sure the founding fathers made the Bill of Rights for that purpose.

Dude, what grade are you in? Ever learn anything in World History? If you've taken World History, you've obviously shown that you didn't pay attention in that class.

Sorry for the history lesson. Back in November of 1918, World War I was ending, and Germany was litterally in chaos. Then in 1919, this new German Republic drafted a constitution in the city of Weimar, creating the democratic government known as the Weimar Republic. I'm not going to dive into details, but basically this government was horrible. The economy still sucked, they were in debt and to make things worse, they thought they could do something about it and started printing TONS and TONS of German Marks (their currency), which resulted in the mass inflation of EVERYTHING. If something cost 100 marks, by next year it would cost 944,000 marks. All it did was make things worse.

The also French decide to take the Ruhr Valley, a region that produced 80% of German iron and coal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruhr_Valley). Now their economy was screwed up the butt. Then the US (yes, the US) passes the Dawes Plan of 1924 to help Germany recover (although this was because the US had stocks in Germany, and they didn't want those stocks to die). Oh, and the Treaty of Versailles completely jips the Germans when World War I ends (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Versailles_(1919)).

Now, on to Adolf Hitler, the oh-so infamous man. Born in Austria in 1889, he was 18 when he tried enrolling in a Vienna art school, but got rejected. At that time, Vienna was the capital of the multinational Hapsburg empire. Austrian Germans were the minority, but felt racially superior to Jews, Serbs, Poles and other ethnic/religious groups. During his stay in Vienna, Hitler developed the fanatical anti-Semitism that would play a big role later in his rise to power. He fought in World War I, and despised the Weimar Republic. In 1919 he joined a small group of right-wing extremists. In about one year, he was the leader of the National Socialist German Workers, or the Nazi Party. Later in 1923, he tried to seize power in Munich, but failed. He was then jailed and that was when he wrote Mein Kampf (My Struggle), the "Bible" per se, of the Nazi Party. It basically reflected his obsessions - extreme nationalism, racism and anti-Semitism.

When he left prison, he basically went on all these political speeches and rallies. Since Germany was hit hard by the Great Depression, everyone was losing faith in the Weimar Republic (keep in mind, a democratic government too), because nothing was being done to help it's citizens and economy. Hitler promised to fix all that if given power. He promised to fix the the country's high unemployment rates (by 1942, 43% of the German work force was unemployed). He promised to also rearm Germany, used nationalism and promised to return Germany to it's glory days of Bismark and all that. By then, Nazi membership was almost to a million. Guess what? He did do what he promised.

With Nazis and Communists gaining more seats in the Reichstag (the Germany parliament), they finally decided to make Hitler the Chancellor of Germany (Prime Minister). Thus, he was legally the Head of State. In one year, he gained full power and pretty much turned Germany into a one-party state, under the Nazis. Like Stalin, he turned Germany into a totalitarian state.

You're probably thinking they were nuts for making Hitler the Chancellor of Germany, but you have to realize something. To Germans, he was almost like a saint. When he gained power, unemployment litterally ceased to exist, the economy was up and running and people were happy. However, his fanatical ideas did force him to become this maniac whom we all know of him today. The rest is history.

Sorry for the whole lesson and all, but before you go rambling on about someone else's national heritage, you should know what you're talking about first. You obviously didn't, so I thought I'd enlighten you. :)

Actually the Founding Fathers did not create true equality. You were "equal" if you were a...

  • White man
  • Owned land
  • Prodastint
  • Wealthy

We had an entire month in class simply dedicated to this very topic. Was interesting. But the good thign that the Founding Fathers did was leave the Constitution open to change. So that whatever the generation who was living could change the Constitution to benefit thier needs. Which is a really remarkable thing. :)
