how do I take off my side pannel

I want to so my comp can get a lil air and just to see whats inside.I have a hp pavilion

should be just some screws on the back that's hold the case panel on. Look around the outside edges and you'll see them.

yea I found two and thought thad be it but its still hanging on by something

ok well I used a flashlight and looked inside it and it appears there some kind of green thing on there like a clamp to keep it shut,thats what it appears to be,I looked on the side and on the green thing theres a bar code-but theres a bar code on every part isnt there?

The big "green thing" is just a piece of plastic that gets fresh air to go to the cpu.

can you tell me the exact model of your pc? should say on the front

and try sliding the panel away from the front side of the computer. it should come off

hey I tryed sliding it insted of pulling it forward and yea it came right off,thanks for all the help. btw has anyone ever put a new case on there comp because looking inside it looks kinda complicated with all the circuit boards and stuff.

Yeah, we always do it. If you dont know what your doing, get someone to do it for you, and dont try it. I done think you will be able to put a new case on yours without a new motherboard though.
