Mobo and HDD

I'm building my new computer, but I need a compatible HDD with my mobo...

How do I know if it's compatible or not?

It's compatible. If you look at the Asus motherboard specs, you will notice that it supports SATA1. That denotes SATA150 (first generation SATA drives). SATAII double SATA150 speeds.

The Maxtor drive you chose supports SATA150 or SATA1. That's all you have to know about compatiblity. That motherboard supports both SATAI and SATAII which is good. Any SATA drive will do for you.
