Hello, I am building a new pc.

MSI PM8M-V Socket 478
Intel Celeron 345 OEM
ATX Mid Tower Case
400 Watt Power Supply
200GB 7200 HD

I have just a couple of questions:
Is there an advantage of having one 1012 memory card vs. (2) 512?

I am not a gamer. I like to work with photos/video and do most of my work via the web. What would be my best choice for a video card at $150 or less?

Thanks for your help!

its better to have 2x512 dual channel because that doubles the bandwidth from 65bit to 128bit, as for the video card i recommend an evga 6600gt

What is the biggest difference between the 6600gt and the 6800gt? They seem very close in price.

I think the biggest difference is that the 6800 has more pixel pipelines than the 6600 and also i believe the 6800 uses DDR3 memory rather than DDR2 that the 6600 uses, but don't quote me on that.

No that's right, although the 6600 and the 6800 are close in price, in my opinion, they are both very different...The 6800 is going to be alot better quallity than the 6600, but which one you will need depends on your type of computing...

Are you a hardcore gamer? or just a casual surfer/movie watcher...

And well since your not a gamer I wouldn't suggest the extra money for anything over a 6600GT

deffinately go with the 6800gt if u can afford it, its far better than the 6600gt because it has 8 more pipelines and uses ddr3 memory
