So a few questions i have are:
1. Are all these parts compatible? Also, are these good parts for the price?
2. Am i missing any essential parts? (ill get keyboard, mouse, moniter seperate)
3. Should I get some type of cooling system?
4. When installing the OS, should I connect all the parts before? Or should i install the OS then add some parts later
5. Do most of the new moniters use DVI, or should I get a video card with VGA? And what's a smiliar ATi card to this nVidia one?

Any other advice for a first time builder would be appriciated! Thanks in advance.

Do not get a socket 754 motherboard/CPU...they are getting highly outdated now...and it's not something that can easily be upgraded. Go socket 939 or wait for AM2.

Yeah, these parts are compatible - juse one thing...why not go for a SLI motherboard, and get two 76006T and SLI them?

You just need a nice case to finish that off...

Go for water cooling - its ace!

OS - use minimal things, video card, monitor, keyboard, mouse - then add things after its installed

Alot do yes, but if you have a VGA monitor, you can just get a little adapter - DVI to VGA - DVI is alot better to use though..ide buy a nice DVI LCD screen...

Hope this helps..

Is the only difference between a mid and full size tower the size? Are there any advantages to having a full size..such as airflow?

Well the bigger the case, the more room for upgrade. Also the bigger the size like you said better air flow and then you can add more fan, i would go for the full size.

do not get an abit motherboard and do not get 2 7600gts, why? because abit currently sucks and 2 7600gts will bottleneck that cpu to hell so its pointless, for a motherboard look at either ASUS or DFI, MSI is ok to, get 1 7600gt as it will play any game at the moment and it wont bottleneck that cpu, as for a full size case i have to say theyre much nicer than a mid size case since i upgraded to a full size one recently, airflow is a bit better but a decent mid size case should have good enough airflow, i like the full size cases more just because of the extra room
