i don't think you can say anyone is going to beat anyone, much of computer technology advances are like a game of leap frog, where one company constantly takes the leand and then is snatched away by another and then snatched back and so on, when the GeForce MX420 came out everyone was like OMG TAHTS SO COOL, but look where we are now...

However the debate is one the current top cards out right now. And from benchmarks and reviews, we can conclude that the X1900XTX is the best card out. Despite what fanboys say, because they'll come back with, "Well two 7900GTs in SLI is better!" or somethign stupid, that's completely off the general topic. The topic is comparing the best card from one manufacturer to the others top card. Not two VS one. That's unfair. But hey, fanboys will be fanboys.

Next time guys, let's provide links. I provided I believe 10-20 links on multiple benchmakrs. But I think they got edited. I'll post the link tot he article to show you all my point. Which is, "The X1900XTX beats the 7900GTX head-to-head in roughly 9 out of 10 benchmakrs."

Also, try not to focus on SLI and CrossFire, as they're both a VERY unrealistic setup unless you're using lower-end cards. Focus on the X1900XTX and 7900GTX head-to-head.
