What's the best cheape or free virus scanner?

The one my dad downloaded for me sux0rz... lol. It doesn't search through everything. When I had a Norton 15 day trial, it scanned way more things (more as in over 20 thousand) and came up with more. The scanner I have now doesn't even fix or delete the problem as good as Norton would. I need a good one.

I scan my computer with housecall and it works fine. I dont see the point in installing an antivirus program when free online scanner work just as good.

trend micro is a good online scanner, avg is a good offline one as said above. i use both without problems. you cant just use an online one as if you download and open emails etc without an antivirus scanning the files all the time then you are vunerable to viruses.
