it sounds like what they're talking about "Plain edge" is do you want any of the edges tobe serated... or just a plain blade... a normal un-serated blade. Did you even look at the opinions?

Yes i did. And depending on the knife you can get ''plain'' Or like a dull and blunt one, or like double edge seration and things like that.

And for an update. My brother said he would hook me up as long as I have good grades (lol). So.. Eh.. I mean ill get one. Now its just in the process of finding the right one.. There are a bunch that I like..

get a lexan-polymer knife, 2 and a half times the strength of steel, no metal, will not set off any metal detectors, stays sharp twice as long as steel, never corrodes. So awesome.
