Vid card breaking point

Ive got x700 radeon. All i do is play age of empiresIII. do you guys think that upgrading to x1800 or something will make difference? How much better can it get? I mean, when is the breaking point when a better vid wont matter? With this type of game. In case your wondering, its a strategy game like CIV or empire earth

well can u run it on full settings so that it's smooth?
If u can then a new vid card won't do much good, if u can't then upgrading the computer would make it run better.

Well wanna post your computers specs so maybe we can see what really needs upgrading.. and is the x700 pci-e or agp?

apg....well at least mine is, not sure if they make pci. Ur card can handle it cause mine runs baby butt smooth on AOE3.

My store says that the X700 is PCI-E only. My buttsies, I saw some at Tigerdirect!

700x radeon pci-express
420 watt psu
1 gb ram
250 hard drive

...just asking cuz the pictures on the box and screenshots on different websites look 100 times better than my screen...thanks
