files not showing up !! help

Trying to get some help, took some pictures with my camera (Sanyo Xacti) and tried to copy those pictures into my pc but when I put the SD card into the computer and explore the SD card its empty. When I plug the SD card into the camera it reads all the pictures and videos. I changed the file options to show all hidden files but still nothing. On my PC I check the SD card properties it shows 60 mb of used space.

Does anyone have any idea on whats going on? How can I retrieve my pictures?

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

does the camera not come with its own software?

its likely you will have to install its software and use it to transfer the files.

Weird, though an SD card should be able to be read on an SD card reader, and cameras should use JPEG's or PNG, or another form of uncompressed photos somewhere whihc Windows should be able to read.

Has the camera got a USB out to transfer photos? Maybe the SD card is just for the cameras use, and not meant to be used to go to PC since alot of people don't have SD readers.
