disconnection problems

why is it that when i play games online (counterstrike) my internet gets disconnected for a bit then reconnects. it only happens when i play

but i had another computer and it never disconnected



same problem with a sony vaio i had too.. it always disconnected while i played counter strike...but it doesnt dc when i dont play

should i try connecting in a different room?

So do you loose your internet connection, or does the game just boot you?

well do u know counter strike?
well i play and i freeze but i can still move the crosshair around but technically im disconnected but i dont get booted
then my AIM and other programs connected to the internet gets disconnected as well then my internet comes back up about 2 minutes later

hmm..thats kind of weird. Are you sure its not your cable connection?

I have the same problem on both my computer and my brothers. It only happens when we have them both online through the router. If just one computer is online through the cable modem it does not happen.
