Upgrading Video Card

He just wants to upgrade his video card. You guys go off onto gettin a new psu.. and then its all like.. no no, you need more/better ram to do that. And oh no, that ram wont do, get this ram, only catch is it requires a new mobo. And with that mobo.. get this ultra cool super gaming amd processor. And with that, why not just get the extra space, because you just got a new damn computer!!

Did you even read his first post? Or did you just fly by and decide to post something irrelevant? Whatever... back on topic. How much do you have to spend? A great video card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814127164 is this. It doesn't need a 4 pin connector and works very well. This card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814103159 is also great for the money and doesn't need a 4 pin. If those are too expensive, this one works well for the money: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814153012 Hope this helps. :D

Perfect post. And leave it at that.

Thanks guys. Sorry I didn't respond earlier, been really busy with school =(.

Anyways, my motherboard is a Intel D845EBT and I'm wondering whether that ATI diamond card will work with it. If it does, that'll be the one I get.

Otherwise, I'd get the first card, the nividia one.

The mobo is about 4-5 years old.

Again, thanks.

i have a diamond viper 9600xt in an older comp and i have to say its a pretty decent card, of course a 6600gt is far better but if you're not into any graphic intensive games such as fear or bf2 then the 9600xt will be fine
