New Build. Need Advice!

i am going to build an rig based around an opteron 146. I am kinda going bargain hunting so bear with me.

The mobo: Msi K8n Neo2

The Cpu: AMD Opteron 146

The Video Card: nvidia 6600gt AGP. (the board i want has it. its around my price range).

then an xconnect 500W. but i can supply the rest. will my mobo support the cpu. amd says their 939 opty's can go into any 939 but idk. reply. thanks

Yeah, it should very well fit. No problems. I would pci ex if you could. Would last you longer. But yeah, the opteron should work in that mobo.

Just so you know you're going to need a cooler with that OEM CPU.
