Virtual Memory/Page file?

I have turned off page filing for my machine. I did this because when looking at performance in task manager my machine was not using even half of my physical memory. Should I not be doing this? If so Why? Also after turning off page filing and looking at performance in task manager it still shows page file usage. Whats up with that?

It depends on your system - some react different to others. I also took mine off once and put it to 'let the system manage it'. Well the result was that my system seriously went slow for a few boot ups and so I returned the pagin file figures; which i had written down. Fine, i had norton antivirus at the time but i smelt a bug with changing the setting.

So try it but i didnt beneft from it - ive also written an earlier and similar post that hasnt had much feedback unfortunately. Personally ive learnt to live with what the system has as a default and 'preferred' setting.
