what would be a killer $1500 gaming computer?? anyone could help? planning to buy

Though I don't know much about the power supply to comment. That said though, I tried to find something to skimp on to get the price down, but there isn't. That system sounds top notch.

Though if that other PSU is better but cheaper, go for it.

You definietly couldn't do better than the 7800GTX right now, though do note in the next month or so, another ones going to be out. but just don't be worried by that just yet

You can of course because it is SLI compatable, get another of the same card and boost games even more.

In my opinion, your looking at buying a top grade AMD processor,

One of the higher grade Nvidia or ATI cards, preferably the 7800GTX,

About 1GB of RAM,

A Creative SoundBlaster card of some sort.

The list can be modified and specs can be brought forward

Your top grade CPU burned $1k. You talk about the FX-60

The rest is gone with the 7800GTX

Nope, by top grade, I just meant a good one
Not the most expensive one, which could of course equal the best...
But not the one I'd go for anyway, or you'd be there all year trying to select parts, since processors, etc come out all the time anyway!
