what would be a killer $1500 gaming computer?? anyone could help? planning to buy

In my opinion, your looking at buying a top grade AMD processor,

One of the higher grade Nvidia or ATI cards, preferably the 7800GTX,

About 1GB of RAM,

A Creative SoundBlaster card of some sort.

The list can be modified and specs can be brought forward :p

yup. Definitely go with AMD. Athlon 64 X2 maybe...go with nvidia...and yeah 1 gb of ram is great

with 1500 dollars, you might aswell get:
2gb ram. $200
dfi lanparty crossfire. $154
opteron165. $328
2x74gb hdds sata150, 10000rpm, raid0. $154ea.
250gb hdd sataII, 7200rpm. $95
watercooling. $200

The Modstream I have isn't too bad. Yeah, it's a little low, but it's definitely fine.
